The Seminole Arts Center would like to extend our congratulations to Sterlin Harjo on receiving the 2026 Peabody Trailblazer Award.

As a citizen of the Seminole Nation and one of Oklahoma’s most influential storytellers, Sterlin has helped bring Native voices, cultures, and stories to audiences around the world. His success is a source of pride for our community and an inspiration to the next generation of artists, filmmakers, and creators.

Thank you for continuing to blaze trails and show what is possible through the power of storytelling. Congratulations on this well deserved honor!

We have gotten a few questions regarding Summer Arts Camp, and we have some answers!

1. What are the Dates?
We will have 5 three-week sessions.
June 8-12, June 15-19, June 22-26
July 6-10, and July 13-17
You can do one week, all weeks, or a day here and there. Sign up using our flyer or register at the Art Center. There is no deadline but spots are limited.

2. Can parents stay with their students during the day?
Absolutely!! We encourage you to stay and even participate!!

3. Can students 16+ participate?
Absolutely!! These students will take more of a group leader/volunteer role, but they will get an opportunity to work in each station. They even have a chance to earn some money and scholarships!!!

4. What are we doing during camp?
Students will get an opportunity to explore Drawing, Painting, Music, Clay, Tie-Dying, Gardening, plus a Scavenger hunt!!

5. Can Parents Volunteer?
Parents are more than welcome to volunteer. In fact, Volunteers will get free passes for the students they bring!

6. Who are the Teachers?
Instruction will be led by Ms. Rachel and Art Center Volunteers.
You may want some time to visit with them before camp starts and we would love that! Please reach out the art center if you would like to schedule a meet and greet with your student's instructors.
