Calling individuals, families, churches: We need your help. As many of you know, MCHS alumni Hayden Harris was killed in December of 2020 at the hands of a fellow soldier. Harris was serving in the US Army at Fort Drum in New York when he was gunned down and lost his life. The trial for Hayden’s killer is scheduled to start at the beginning of May and his family will be traveling to New Jersey to attend the trial. A send-off prayer event has been scheduled for his family. The Harris Family Prayers for Support will be at the Guys Civic Center on Sunday, April 23rd at 5 pm. We encourage everyone to come out and pray for this family as they prepare to travel to New Jersey to start the trial process. What we need from you are prayer cards and notes of encouragement. If you plan on attending the event, take those with you. If you cannot attend, please write something for the family. You can drop those off by the McNairy County News office at 252 Mulberry Ave. in Selmer or mail them and we will make sure the family receives them. Please share.
