"Keep living a life worth living. Your day 41 is coming."
-JLM Mauller's Ministry was formed in honor of Officer Josiah Mauller Unit #133, who lost a courageous battle to cancer on November 6, 2024. Josiah courageously battled his cancer diagnosis for five and a half years. Two weeks before graduating Josiah's senior year of high school, him and his immediate family learned of the terrifying news.
That doctors report however did not stop Josiah. After Josiah graduated from Wapahani High School, he attended Ball State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2023. While pursuing his CJ degree, Josiah became a member of the Albany-Delaware Township Volunteer Fire Department completing his Indiana State Basic Firefighter course in 2021. In January of 2022, Josiah began his law enforcement career with the Town of Selma Police Department. April of 2023, Josiah began his full time law enforcement career with the City of Muncie Police Department. During Josiah's time of service to his communities, he became known for his unwavering commitment to helping others, always acting with integrity and devotion, both on and off duty. Josiah was the kind of person who was steadfast in his beliefs, selfless in his actions, and driven to improve himself and the world around him. Josiah took it upon himself to become an avid member of a local gym and developed a deep passion for fitness and health, both mentally and physically. After high school, Josiah began regularly participating in fitness challenges, CrossFit activities, and encouraging others to achieve their own health goals. Family, friends, and coworkers of Josiah's, remember him as someone who never backed down from a challenge and who continually sought to inspire those around him. During Josiah's final days, he left behind a powerful message to his family member's and friends, "Keep Living a Life Worth Living." Josiah's words were a testament to his resilience, and his belief that no matter the circumstances, we must keep pushing forward, never giving up, and never losing sight of the things that matter most. Josiah's legacy is one of perseverance, kindness, and love. May Josiah's memory be a reminder to us all: to live with purpose, never stop fighting, and act with integrity even when no one is watching. We at Mauller's Ministry have made it our goal and mission to continue on with following Josiah's words and the example that he set forth during his time. It is our hopes that we can encourage others to also pursue a physical fitness routine and build their faith to keep pushing forward each day.
