A Charlie Brown Christmas Tradition

A Charlie Brown Christmas Tradition It was around Thanksgiving 1972 that Rick was at our house with his Charlie Brown Christmas book.

I asked the kids if they would like to have a Charlie Brown Christmas and of course the answer was a great big resounding “Yes.” So I borrowed Rick’s book and went out to the garage and proceeded to draw the characters on sheets of plywood. I painted the characters and then with a saber saw cut them out and put mounting brackets on the back. I used metal rods to mount the characters around a bush, put Christmas lights on the bush and this was our first Charlie Brown Christmas on Dixie Drive.
