📣 Family Business Update

We're excited about the conversations ahead, and we want to make sure they're as impactful as possible.

Our Family Business: A Live Conversation Experience scheduled for Thursday, July 23 has been postponed until Thursday, August 27.

This additional time allows us to strengthen the experience, engage additional community partners, and continue building toward our countywide Estate Planning & Legacy Convening this October.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we create a space for honest conversations about heirs property, estate planning, homeownership, and building generational wealth.

For years, the Selma Center has worked alongside our community to advance peace, restorative justice, racial healing, and stronger neighborhoods. But we also know that lasting change requires more than conversation, it requires opportunity.

When more than 4,000 Dallas County residents shared their vision for the future through PERC Selma, three priorities rose to the top: housing, economic opportunity, and a sense of belonging... the opportunity to help shape the future of our community.

We listened.

The result is the CITI Center (the Community Impacting Transformation and Innovation Center) the Selma Center's hub for economic justice, entrepreneurship, housing innovation, and community transformation.

Located in the heart of downtown Selma, the CITI Center is where those community priorities come to life. It's where we're bringing people, businesses, and ideas together to create opportunity and move Selma forward.

The CITI Center is the product of collaboration. Together with partners including Wallace Community College Selma, the City of Selma, the Selma Housing Authority, and other organizations from across Alabama and the nation, we're building practical solutions that strengthen our community and expand opportunity for everyone.
