Students in our Dragon PALS program enjoyed celebrating their last day staying after-school with popsicles, pizza, and games! We want to extend a huge shout-out to Hunter Station Pizza Sellersburg for donating the pizzas to our Dragon PAL students and teachers. It was a fun day for all 🙂

Ivy Tech Kids College is back! Registration is open!

Classes will be held in Ogle Hall on the main Ivy Tech campus in Sellersburg on June 15th and 16th. The program is geared toward all children in grades K-5. Your child will be engaged in high-interest, educationally appropriate activities promoting critical thinking, collaboration with classmates, and most of all, FUN in each course they choose!

Be sure to check out our new course offerings! Classes fill quickly so don’t delay.

Day 2 with Graham Fletcher didn’t disappoint. Our teachers, administrators, and instructional coaches met again where wonderful conversations ensued around best math practices. We are extremely grateful for the wisdom and knowledge Graham brought to us over the past two days!

The Silver Creek Dragons Foundation loves supporting Dragon teachers, so we are ecstatic to have the world renowned Math Specialist, Graham Fletcher, at SCSC! He taught valuable lessons today on math progressions, problem-based lessons, fluency and development of conceptual understanding. His presentation style and knowledge made for an enjoyable day of professional development!

After-School Dragon PALS, math and reading K - 12 tutoring, enrollment deadline is Monday, Aug. 15. Spaces are limited, so please check your email to see if your child was referred and complete the electronic enrollment form. These support services are provided by certified teachers within the Silver Creek school buildings and funded by the nonprofit Silver Creek Dragons Foundation at no cost to you. If you didn't receive an email and think your child would benefit from our after-school support services, you can reach out to your child's teacher, counselor, or principal to see whether or not your child qualifies for a referral.

Last year with our PALS program and grant funding we were able to purchase Secret Story Books for our Kindergarten teachers. These are fun kits that help with phonics. These were such a hit our 1st grade teachers asked for them too! Our fundraiser with Awesome Sports Camps made this possible! Thank you to everyone who supports our organization!
