This evening, members of Troop 419 participated in our chartering organization's Flag Retirement Ceremony at Selinsgrove VFW Post 6631 in honor of Flag Day. The Scouts helped during the ceremony by conducting the traditional 13 folds of the American flag, with each fold representing a symbolic meaning and serving as a reminder of the respect and gratitude we owe to our nation and those who have served it. The troop then helped retire worn and unserviceable flags with the dignity and respect they deserve.
The evening also included the dedication of an Eagle Scout project completed by a Scout from Troop 441. Congratulations on this accomplishment and thank you to the Selinsgrove VFW Post 6631 for your continued support of Scouting and our troop.
