🚤 Chamber Member Spotlight: Mako's Water Taxi 🚤

"In Alaska we don't need roads." Truer words were never painted on a boat. 😄

Water taxis like Mako's are Seldovia's lifeline — year-round access across Kachemak Bay, no matter the season. Captain Mako Haggerty and his crew runs scheduled drop-offs and pick-ups to Seldovia, Halibut Cove, Grewingk Glacier, Gull Island, and everywhere in between. (And yes, that gorgeous octopus mural is by local artist Valisa Higman! 🐙)

Good news from the City of Seldovia: the dock replacement contract for Jakolof Bay has been awarded, with completion expected spring 2027 — even better access on the horizon.
