Hey everyone!

Can't wait to see you today at our club meeting!!! We will be discussing some of our upcoming club trips & events!

We also will have a Guest Speaker from Last Chance Animal Rescue. She will be some possible volunteer opportunities through the rescue group with us.

Last Chance Animal Rescue is a charitable not-for profit organization created to save the lives of animals located in High Kill Shelters in the Carolinas. They are unique, as they do not have a local kennel location on the island. Instead all their animals are placed in foster homes until they are adopted. Founded by Whitney Knowlton LCAR has successfully found homes for over 8000 cats & dogs since the organization was formed in 2008. Thank you to those who came out to our second meeting today. It was a short one but we have started making plans for some upcoming events & trips.

As of now Tentative Dates are as followed:

Tour of the Baiting Hollow Horse Rescue, Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard and Horse Rescue on November 15th, 2015 (Time TBA)

SCCC Animal Awareness Club 3rd Annual Animal Awareness Day on November 17th from 10:00am - 2:00pm (We ask that Volunteer arrive by 9:00am for Set Up)

Come join Suffolk County Community College's Animal Awareness & Rescue Club this Thursday at 7:00pm for our first annual Doggie Fashion Show. The dog's present will all be up for adoption through local rescue organizations. What better way to spend your evening then with friends and pups. Who know you may just find your new best friend! There will also be food and and a cash bar. Spread the word!

Meet Gnocchi!

10-year old Gnocchi was recently rescued from a local municipal shelter and is happy to be safe and sound at our no-kill adoption center! Gnocchi is a mush, big and fluffy and the ideal snuggling partner. He is extremely playful and has tons of energy despite his age, and is fantastic with other cats and children of all ages.

Please spread the word and help this sweet boy find his forever home.

Lost Dog! Please help spread the word. Apple Jack slipped her collar while on a walk and is currently lost in the woods behind her home. It's cold outside and this poor pup has been missing all day. Please share this poster and spread the word. If anyone is able to help look for her that would be great. Traps have been set but I this now dark and that means it's getting colder. Pray he is found soon.
