Please join us in congratulating Michelle Freeman, our President & Chair, on two recent honors recognizing her leadership and impact across Delaware.

Michelle was awarded the prestigious Marvel Cup award at the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner in January and last week was named Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Delaware.

We are proud to celebrate Michelle's continued leadership and the many ways she works to build stronger communities across our region!

Recently, Trustee Nick Freeman and members of the Freeman family toured the construction site of the next phase of the Freeman Arts Pavilion, seeing firsthand the progress made possible through their legacy support.

The Carl M. Freeman Foundation is proud to be the largest funder of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation and Freeman Arts Pavilion, reflecting a long-standing commitment to ensuring the arts are accessible for all to enjoy.

It’s meaningful to watch this vision take shape — not just as a building, but as a space for creativity, connection, and shared community experiences for generations to come.

Today, we pause to remember Josh Freeman, former Chairman of the Carl M. Freeman Foundation.

Josh believed deeply in the power of community and in showing up for the places where we live, work, and play. His leadership helped shape the Foundation’s commitment to thoughtful philanthropy rooted in relationships, responsibility, and long-term impact.

We honor Josh’s legacy every day through the grants we award, the guidance we provide, and the partnerships we build across our region. His belief that strong communities are built through care, collaboration, and opportunity continues to guide our work.

Today, we remember Josh with gratitude for the enduring legacy he left behind.

🏆 The Carl M. Freeman Foundation is proud to have supported the Senior League Softball World Series in Sussex County, Delaware since its inception more than 20 years ago.

Each year, this event brings together talented young athletes from around the world and showcases the power of sports to unite communities and inspire the next generation. We are honored to continue supporting an event that brings so much pride and energy to our local area.
