Pantry Update:

Although our Little Pantry is in pretty good shape, thanks to our generous neighbors, we definitely have some needs that would be very helpful to fulfill.

-protein items like canned meats, tuna, chicken, ham, vienna sausages, potted meats are all currently needed.

-personal care hygeine products like soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, feminine hygeine products, toilet paper are all needed.

-individual breakfast cereals and snacks. Don’t forget that school is out for summer!

If everyone who followed us here on FB donated one or two items, we would be all set. We have a caring community and we are very grateful for all of you!

Well, it doesn’t take long for our little pantry to start feeling a little hollow inside. Not unlike what it must feel like for some of our neighbors. Lots of things are going on at The Schoolyard in the next few weeks. If you are headed there for a celebration or other activity, please consider dropping a little something off at the pantry. Wow! Our poor Little Pantry took a hit over the last few days. We still have some things but we are short on some crucial items. Proteins like chicken and tuna are very important, and pasta sauce and pasta. Cereal (I’ve been getting the variety packs of the semi-healthy brands). Also lots of the snacks are completely out. In the hygiene drawer, offerings are pretty slim there too. We could use some more rolls of TP, toothbrushes and toothpaste and shampoo and feminine hygiene products especially! Anything folks can contribute to the pantry helps out our local neighborhood. I’ll see what I can dig up at my place. Everybody, be kind to your neighbors!

Pantry Update: We are trying something new. We have noticed a very creative trend in Little Pantries, where whole meals are assembled with cooking instructions and all you need to make it from shelf stable ingredients. We want to see is our community is interested in these, so if you grab one and try it, let us know how it worked for you.

Pantry Update:
We are still fairly well stocked, though we don’t have as much meat as seen in this photo. We did get a generous donation of food AND hygiene products which we were in great need of.

If you live in Seguin, TX, would you consider sharing with your local friends about our little free pantry? You never know when someone might be struggling in this current environment of rapidly rising prices for everything from fuel to toilet paper. Also anyone in the area is welcome to join our group of pantry monitors to help keep our pantry full and safe for our neighbors.

Pantry update:
The Pantry has been regularly maintained and we definitely are seeing what folks like. The cereal and meat products seem to go fast. And cookies and peanut butter crackers. You know the ones, orange cheese crackers 😉. We are also seeing new stuff folks are sharing, which is fantastic. Again, if you have suggestions, please share, we are still new at this, and everybody has different tastes. And thanks for letting our neighbors know we’re here.
