Our Navarro FFA Shooting Sports team braved the heat at the 2026 Texas State Ag Clays Shoot on Momday & Tuesday this week and came home with FIVE Top 5 banners! Navarro FFA had a total of 19 team members participate in the event this year, competing against FFA teams from schools of all sizes from across the state.

🔵 Super Sporting All-Male Team — 2nd
🔸Daniel Rhinehart, Grayson Karlik, Clayton Wilkins & Waylon Gloor

🔵 Super Sporting All-Female Team — 4th
🔸Hailee Munk, Rylee Flippin, Alyson Rauschuber & McKayla Peterson

🔵 Sporting Clays All-Female Team — 3rd
🔸Hailee Munk, Rylee Flippin, Alyson Rauschuber & McKayla Peterson

🔵 Sporting Clays All-Male Team — 5th
🔸Daniel Rhinehart, Clayton Wilkins, Waylon Gloor & Grayson Karlik

🔵 Sporting Clays Mixed Team — 5th
🔸Daniel Rhinehart, Clayton Wilkins, Waylon Gloor & Hailee Munk

Additionally, the Super Sporting Mixed Team of Daniel Rhinehart, Clayton Wilkins, Waylon Gloor & Hailee Munk placed 6th, barely missing a banner spot by 3 clays (behind the two teams that tied for 4th)!

Great work Panthers! Way to break those clays!

Best of luck to our Navarro FFA Shooting Sports Team as they compete at the State Ag Clays Shoot today and tomorrow in San Antonio! Break some clays Panthers!

**This picture is last year’s state shoot group, but almost all of these team members are shooting again this year, along with some new team members. We’ll get an updated team picture at this year’s state shoot.**

One more celebration announcement following the Texas FFA State Degree Check last week...

Justin Braune, 2025 NHS Graduate, has been named the State Winner for the Vegetable Production Proficiency!!

Proficiency awards recognize FFA members for their success in their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE). These awards recognize individual skills and career-based competencies developed through multiple years of participation in Immersion type SAE projects.

As a state proficiency winner, Justin will receive a $1,000 scholarship AND his application moves on to the National level for judging! Congratulations Justin!

More exciting news from the Texas FFA State Degree Check this week...
Peyton Sisak has been named a Top 4 State Finalist for the Star Greenhand Agriscience award!
This means she will now move on to the interview process, which will take place at the beginning of the Texas FFA State Convention week in Ft. Worth at the beginning of July. She will also get to walk across the convention stage to be recognized as a Star Award Finalist.
Help us not only congratulate Peyton on making it into the Top 4, but also wish her the best of luck with her interview in July!

Navarro FFA is adding another Texas FFA Scholar to the books! Congratulations to Avery Sisak who was selected this week at the Texas FFA State Degree Check to receive a $10,000 Richard Wallrath Education Foundation Scholarship!!
The Texas FFA Scholarship process is a highly competitive process that reviews the students FFA participation throughout all four high school years, as well as their GPA, class rank and SAT/ACT test score. After the applications are scored at the Area level the top 25 applications are sent on to the state scoring committee. Out of all the applications sent from the twelve Areas, only 166 applications were selected for a state interview. Earning one of these scholarships is no easy feat and requires dedication starting freshman year! Way to go Avery!
Avery will officially accept her scholarship in July at the Texas FFA State Convention, which we know will be very helpful as she continues her education in the fall at Texas A&M University.

Join us in congratulating these Navarro FFA members who have earned All-Area Team honors from this year's Career Development Events (CDE) season!

FFA members were selected for these honors following nomination by the advisors AND a committee evaluation process which gathered all of the members' placings from the invitational, area and state contests they attended this year for that particular CDE. Only the Top FIVE FFA members in the Area 7 Association are selected for All-Area Team honors. TEN Navarro FFA members were selected to the All-Area Team, representing more than half of our CDE teams from this year!

Additionally, the top member for each contest is designated the MVJ -- Most Valuable Judger. Navarro FFA is proud to have TWO MVJs this year, Rylan Trost & Landon Cole!

The dedication and hard-work these Navarro FFA members displayed this year have set them apart as the top competitors in their respective CDEs within the highly competitive Area 7 FFA Association. Well done Panthers!

The deadline to RSVP for the Navarro FFA Banquet was Friday, May 1st. We have noticed many of our members who have either attended in the past or have been involved in FFA activities this year have not yet RSVPed.
