Special thank you to Abbie Mayberry with Light Work 316 for coming to speaking to our members.

Light Work might be the name but their work definitely isn't light. Light Work 316 works with families to help with the financial burden during a medical hard time in someone's life. Light Work also hosts grief counseling workshops. The work done by this organization is beyond amazing.

Scholarship application can be picked up in counselors offices at schools in Guadalupe County.

Man oh man, did we have a full house yesterday at our weekly meeting.
Yesterday, we hosted a member drive where we invited people in our community to come have lunch with us and hear what the Kiwanis is all about.
We were able to show them the many groups our group helps and the way we fundraise every year.
We maybe a small group but we are mighty.

After the Kiwanis presentation, Dr. Jack Lee from Seguin ISD came to present about their new initiative at Seguin that centers around the saying "Students first, always". The school district is working on implementing new core principles to move forward on to bring the school districts rating up.

Thank you everyone who came yesterday. We hope to see you again next Wednesday.
