ICYMI -- Here are a few scenes from last week's Summer Art Camp for Kids. Here's what they did:
Hippos, Crocodiles and Cobras.. Oh My!
Why were hippos, crocodiles, and cobras very important to the ancient Egyptians? Find out while you learn to draw and paint these and other exotic creatures and plants found in the art of ancient Egypt. Students who take this series of fun summer art classes will gain new insight into the art of the ancient Egyptians as they sharpen their artistic skills on such projects as hieroglyphic cartouches, fantasy portraits of historical and supernatural beings, Nile riverscapes, and Egyptian inspired mandalas. Each two-day session is $60.00 per person.
How are they different? In the two-day session, participants will be introduced to the exotic creatures and plants of Egypt and create their own interpretations. By enrolling in all four days, participants will get to explore further and create more art!
GOOD NEWS! This class will be offered again July 7-10. Sign up during gallery open hours Tuesday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. or by calling 830-305-0472. We accept cash, credit card or check for class fees! Don't wait - this one will sell out!
