Due to other events in the Seguin area and a lack of pre-sale tickets we have decided to CANCEL the drive-through meal on April 30th.

After hour events are expensive to host and without lots of local participation, we cannot afford the additional cost that low ticket sales provide. We appreciate each and everyone of you that have expressed interest and hope to be able to do something like this again in the future with a better response.

Thursday, April 30th (5-7pm) The Silver Center will host a drive-through or dine in… fried chicken dinner! We’re located at 510 East Court St., Seguin, TX and many of you know how delicious the food is! Please make plans to join us as we fry up the chicken, mash those potatoes, and get those green beans ready for you. Tickets are on sale at the Silver Center or through any of our wonderful board members. Please call 830-303-6612 for more information or to reserve your tickets with a credit card card.

It is with tons of gratitude that we say THANK YOU to GVEC & the GVEC members that round up their bills to afford Grants for needy charities like ours. Many of you may have noticed that our sign out front on Court Street has been “dark” lately. We have fixed it as many times as possible and now through the generosity of the GVEC power up Grant we will be putting up a new and improved sign at the Silver Center! Thank you so much for your generous donation.

Today is the day to cast your ballot for the primary. If you live in Guadalupe County you can vote at the Silver Center until 7pm in the Yellow Rose.
Come enjoy lunch with us, too! (Lunch is served from 11 AM - 1 PM) Today’s menu is a chicken salad to grab & go if you’d like to!

This Friday (January 23rd) we will host Paul Sanchez & Wrangler Country in the Crystal Chandelier Ballroom at The Silver Center - Seguin/Guadalupe County Senior Citizens' Center
510 E Court St Seguin.
Come out and join us for some great country music, a fabulous wooden dance floor, fresh hot coffee, ice cold frothy beverages, and hamburgers made to order just the way you like them!
Pre-sale tickets are just $10 until Friday morning and they will be $15 at the door.

Fun holiday bingo this evening (11/15/25). Come out and join us at 5:30 when the doors open for sandwiches &/or beverages. Bingo games start at 6:30 and you might win a turkey or a ham or a homemade pie if you’re one of our winners tonight. This is simply for fun. We hope you’re able to join us. There’s a five dollar donation per card and you can use that card for up to 14 games! Not bad, huh? We hope to see you at the Silver Center this evening for some great community fun. Lost dog in Floresville Texas!
If you are this bulldog’s family (purple bandana & a collar… even brushed and bathed) reach out to me at 8303913979 and I will connect you with the gentleman that found it wandering in the street. I’m sure this dog is being searched for! It has a chip but it is NOT REGISTERED. Let’s help it get home!
