Our schools of dance teach tap, ballet, jazz and more in an atmosphere of fun, work, physical exercise and fellowship.

The program is open to members and non-members ages 3-17 across central and south Texas.

A great time was had by multiple members of Seguin Lodge, plus members from surrounding lodges to help us celebrate our annual Summerfest celebration. We had a delicious prepared meal by Backdoor Catering, while members provided dessert selections.

On 7/23/2026, the GCSO Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Barnes Drive in Seguin. As a result of the search and investigation, Robert “Bobby” Castillo was arrested for Possession or Promotion of Child Po*******hy and transported to the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Center. This investigation stemmed from a cyber tip received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

“We have made an ongoing commitment to protecting the children in our county. Our message has been made loud and clear. For those pursuing our children online to hurt or exploit them, we are hunting you. We will not tolerate that behavior in Guadalupe County. Your choice is simple…move or prison.”

Today we celebrate 186 years of Hermann Sons Life! The history of Hermann Sons Life can be traced back to 1840. It was July 20 of that year that a group of men of German descents came together in New York City and founded Der Orden der Hermann Soehne (The Order of the Sons of Hermann). Its purpose was to provide mutual aid and promote the preservation of the German language and traditions. The organization was named in honor of Hermann the Cherusker. The Sons of Hermann became a part of Texas in 1861 when a group of 12 men, also of German descent, organized Harmonia Lodge in San Antonio. Today, Hermann Sons Life proudly remains committed to the mission of strengthening communities through financial protection and community service.
