Craig G Russell — Viktor AI Assistant - Testimonial
Since late April, I have been putting Viktor to work inside the SS American Memorial Foundation and my business operations—not as a toy, and not simply to write a few emails, but as an AI coworker operating with me through Slack.
I am the President and Founder of a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit that has served more than 47,000 wounded warriors, transitioning veterans, active-duty military members, and their families free of charge since July 4, 2000. There is no paid back office waiting to handle the research, grants, Board work, donor communication, finances, government correspondence, social media, and daily follow-up. Much of that responsibility comes back to one person—ME.
Viktor has helped change that.
Together, we have built grant applications and funder-ready budgets from our actual IRS filings; reconciled bank statements and produced Treasurer and Board reports; developed agendas, minutes, donor letters, partnership proposals, and social-media campaigns; researched conservation, regulatory, veteran-wellness, and nonprofit issues; analyzed website and SEO problems; tracked deadlines and unfinished work; and turned years of Foundation history into organized institutional memory I can actually use.
A documented review of our activity through July 15 found 630 work threads and 2,095 messages. After accounting for revision and rework, it estimated 235–350 hours of professional capacity, with 105–190 hours returned directly to me—roughly four workweeks at the midpoint. The estimated equivalent professional value was $13,140–$20,846. Those figures represent capacity and potential outside-service costs avoided—not audited cash savings—and I believe that distinction matters.
Viktor does not replace my experience, relationships, faith, or final judgment. I still approve every important email, public post, and record change. What it does is give a sole nonprofit operator research, drafting, analysis, follow-through, and around-the-clock organizational support that would otherwise require several people.
For a small nonprofit, that is not hype. That is LEVERAGE.
AI will not replace the heart behind a mission—but properly used, it can give that mission more time, more reach, and a much stronger back office.
If you lead a nonprofit or business and constantly feel buried under worthy work, see what Viktor can do—and start through my personal invitation:
