🍀Knowledge is something that will always be important. While knowledge can evolve and be updated depending on circumstances, having access to the right information remains a necessity. The most important thing is to know and understand what we are using, experiencing, or benefiting from.

Education does not always have to take the form of a formal study program. Sometimes, a very short informative session, a clear explanation, or a simple educational message can provide valuable knowledge.

Consumers in general tend to focus primarily on obtaining a service, without necessarily considering the importance of understanding how that service works. Being well informed about the service one is about to use should be part of every consumer's personal interest and responsibility. Having the right information can help people adopt better behaviors, make informed decisions, avoid misunderstandings, and use services more efficiently.

In this context, we have identified several important reasons for strengthening passenger education. Better-informed passengers can contribute to safer, more efficient, responsible, and positive transportation experiences for themselves, service providers, and the communities they visit.

🍀We all need tools that help us accomplish things faster, more efficiently, and in a better way, because time is a valuable gift. We also need to know how our work is progressing and where we stand. Having control and visibility is equally valuable.

With the continued advancement of technology, digital tools have demonstrated how time management, progress tracking, and better control of our work can help individuals and organizations achieve their goals more effectively.

Asana is a prime example of a tool that brings these capabilities together. It is a web-based work and project management platform designed to help people and teams organize their work, monitor progress, collaborate, and stay focused on their goals.

🍀We are proud to announce that Hermes Worldwide has been nominated for the World Broadband Excellence Awards 2026 for the PWATIK Project, hosted by the World Broadband Association, in the category of Smart Communities & Digital Government Excellence.

PWATIK is a digital literacy initiative designed to help transform Haiti’s food industry by connecting farmers, traders, and traditional marketplace communities—especially , Haiti’s traditional marketplaces—with the knowledge and digital tools they need to participate more effectively in the digital economy.

The initiative addresses a key challenge: owning a smartphone does not guarantee digital inclusion. While many farmers and traders use mobile phones and services such as of Digicel and of NATCOM S.A, they may still lack the confidence and skills to use digital financial services and technologies safely, effectively, and productively.

PWATIK seeks to bridge this gap: THE DIGITAL DIVIDE.

PWATIK provides practical digital literacy tailored to Haiti’s food industry, empowering farmers and traders to use technology for financial transactions, business, communication, market access, and information.

By bringing digital education directly into traditional food-industry communities, PWATIK aims to reduce the digital divide and strengthen economic participation. More digitally capable farmers and traders can improve business practices, access markets, and embrace innovation.

Ultimately, PWATIK seeks to make digital technology a tool for economic opportunity, community resilience, and inclusive growth, helping build a more connected and digitally empowered Haiti.

🍀Across human societies, as well as within nature and wildlife ecosystems, supply chains play a vital role in supporting life, ensuring access to essential resources, and maintaining stability.

Governments, the private sector, and civil society organizations continuously strive to expand their capacity to meet the needs of populations in different areas. To achieve this effectively, supply chain systems operate across multiple stages—from production and sourcing to transportation, distribution, and ultimately delivery into the hands of consumers.

Although supply chains are essential, they are also highly complex systems that require careful management, control, monitoring, and, above all, strong security measures. Every stage of the supply chain can present potential risks, making security an important component of its effective operation.

Many of us may not be directly involved in, or fully aware of, how supply chain systems function. However, as consumers, we interact with these systems every day. Through delivery services and the products we receive, we have opportunities to develop our critical thinking, learn, and better understand the importance of security throughout the supply chain.

This is the reason we have developed a distinction between education and instruction in supply chain security. Our objective is to help people not only receive information or follow procedures, but also develop the knowledge, awareness, and critical-thinking skills needed to recognize, understand, and contribute to greater security throughout the supply chain and all other fields.

🍀Human beings are in a constant state of evolution, always seeking to improve themselves and achieve greater well-being. Just as individuals are called to grow, communities must also evolve and develop.

For communities to achieve sustainable development, each generation has a responsibility to share its traditions, values, knowledge, and culture with the next. This intergenerational exchange helps preserve the essence and identity of a community while creating a strong foundation for its future.

At the same time, education in every field should place particular emphasis on community education. Education should not only prepare individuals for personal success; it should also equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the development of their communities.

For example, older generations can organize educational sessions to transmit traditional agricultural knowledge and techniques to younger generations. Rather than simply reproducing these practices, younger people can use their critical thinking, creativity, and knowledge of modern technology to evaluate, improve, and adapt traditional agricultural techniques to today's realities.

In this way, community education creates a bridge between tradition and innovation. It allows communities to preserve valuable knowledge while continuously adapting to social, technological, economic, and environmental changes.
