In 2018, I found myself in a position to fulfill a promise I had made years earlier. When my family was going through a difficult time, our community stepped up and helped us. I promised myself that one day, when I was able, I would do the same for others.
That year, I filed for 501(c)(3) status and turned my basement into a small nonprofit operation called Angels' Care Closet, working alongside friends who were teachers, social workers, and others who knew families in need.
Before long, we outgrew the basement.
In 2019, we were incredibly fortunate that Mr. Cassisi took a chance on a small nonprofit and welcomed us to 28 Olney Street. We are forever grateful for his support.
Then, as you might expect, we outgrew that space too. When the neighbors two doors down moved out, we expanded into 32 Olney Street.
And can you guess what happened next?
If you guessed that we've outgrown our space again, you're right.
Thanks to the incredible support of our community and the growing number of families we serve, we are moving to a new location in Seekonk. This new space will provide the room our clients and volunteers deserve and help us continue growing our mission.
As we prepare for the move, we'll be entering a brief "blackout" period while we pack, relocate, and get settled into our new home. We'll share the new address very soon and can't wait to welcome you.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in us, supporting our work, and helping us grow. None of this would be possible without you.
