Troop 1 Seekonk Established in 1928, Troop 1 Seekonk, MA is a member of the Narragansett Council. We are chartered by the Seekonk Fire Museum. New members are always welcome!

This Memorial Day, Seekonk Scouts were honored to participate in our community parade as we remembered those who gave their lives in service to our country.

We especially remember Troop 1 Seekonk Eagle Scout Arthur Monroe, the second Scout in our troop’s history to earn the Eagle Scout rank in 1939, who was killed in action in the Atlantic on March 25, 1945. His sacrifice and the sacrifice of so many others will never be forgotten.

This week’s Narragansett Council Awards Night was a special opportunity to honor three incredible leaders — Mrs. Runyan, Ms. Doherty, and Mr. Jeffery — for earning the Spark Plug Award.

This recognition reflects the energy, dedication, and passion they bring to Scouting and to the countless youth they mentor and inspire. Their leadership, service, and commitment truly help keep the spark alive in our program every single day.

Tonight we were honored to accept the Seekonk Land Conservation Trust’s Mary Wilson Community Conservation Award at their annual meeting. 🌳 Troop 1 and Troop 9 Scouts and adults have partnered with the land trust many times over the past several years on trail maintenance projects, spreading mulch, building a trailhead kiosk, and large scale property clean-ups. 🍂🪏We value their commitment to the Town of Seekonk, our environment and our scouts.💚 Thank you to the Land Trust for this recognition!🤩
