The days get a little longer. The sun lingers a little later. And even though winter is still holding on, you can feel something new beginning.

At the Carin MacLean Foundation, we see those small moments of hope every day. A mom receiving a grant that helps take one worry off her plate. Groceries showing up at the door. A clean home when life feels overwhelming. A reminder that a whole community is standing beside her.

Behind the scenes, our team has been busy too. We’ve been working hard on new grant opportunities, dreaming up fresh ideas, and finding new ways to grow so we can support even more moms across New England.

As we step into March, we’re grateful for every supporter who makes this possible.

Because even the smallest act of kindness can be the beginning of someone’s brighter season. 💛

We don't just love flowers and candy over here.
We love our supporters.

We love showing up for moms who are carrying more than anyone should have to carry.
Yes, the world feels chaotic.
Yes, things can feel heavy.
But here's the good news:

Today is Carin’s birthday 🤍

If Carin were here watching this foundation roll into nearly 12 years, she’d probably start with something like, “Wait… people are still doing this?” followed immediately by that smirk we all know so well.
She’d remind us that she never asked for a foundation. She just asked us to take care of each other. And somehow, here we are.

Carin would be proud, but she wouldn’t make a big deal about it. She’d tell us to stop fussing, keep showing up, and maybe lighten up a little while we’re at it. She’d love the way this community rallies, the way moms are cared for quietly and genuinely, and the way love keeps finding its way through even the hardest days.

What would Carin be doing today?
Probably rolling her eyes at all of this attention…
Then hugging her people extra tight.
Then reminding us that kindness counts, humor helps, and love doesn’t disappear just because someone does.

Carin, you are always in our hearts, always our why, and forever the reason this foundation exists. We miss you deeply, and we hope we’re doing you proud… even if you’d tell us not to get too sentimental. 💙

As we step into a new year 🤍
At the Carin MacLean Foundation, we’re leaning into something simple and powerful: rest.
The comfy mornings.
The deep breaths.
The moments where we let our bodies slow down without guilt.
Because rest isn’t quitting. It’s fuel. It’s how our bodies heal, reset, and gather strength so when life asks us to show up for the hard stuff, we can meet it with everything we have.
This year, we’re honoring the truth that caring for others starts with caring for ourselves. Especially for the moms and families carrying heavy loads, rest is not a luxury. It’s part of survival. It’s part of hope.
Here’s to a year of softness and strength.
Quiet moments and brave ones.
And listening to our bodies when they ask us to slow down so we can rise when it matters most.

Happy Holidays from all of us at the Carin MacLean Foundation 🤍

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re pausing to take it all in.
Because of you…
Because of this incredible community…
We were able to care for so many families across New England this year.
Since our beginning, we have provided over $315,000 in direct grants to families, along with countless vital services through our Helping Hands program.
That means groceries on kitchen tables, meals delivered on hard days, homes cleaned when energy ran out, errands handled, bills eased, and kids staying in the sports and activities that make them feel like themselves again.
Every bit of light shared came from one simple belief:
That cancer care could be better.
Kinder.
More human.
It all started with three friends who knew families deserved more support during the hardest moments of their lives. Today, that belief continues to grow stronger, brighter, and wider reaching than we ever imagined.
