When a canine companion named Rosey passed in 2007 her existence made such an impact on Tina Allegrezza she founded Red Rose Inspiration For Animals. When Rosey was diagnosed with bone cancer the biopsy was done to determine the type of cancer so a decision could be made as Rosey had already fractured. While waiting for the results of the biopsy that later revealed osteosarcoma Tina couldn't help
but wonder how animals less fortunate that were homeless, neglected and injured survived when they had illnesses and how they suffered in pain with no medical treatment. While spending every last moment with Rosey before she passed the emotions of the homeless, neglected and injured animals in need of assistance became the inspiration for Tina to honor Rosey and the life she lived to continue helping animals. Rosey was a kind and sympathetic canine who connected with fear based animals as she helped them emotionally to rehabilitate them. These are the animals that Red Rose is looking to have a rehab/healing center for in the future. The goal is to work with disadvantaged felines and canines that need and deserve a second chance at life. Red Rose Inspiration For Animals also has existing programs that offers free services for spay/neuter of felines and canines, and emergency medical assistance for homeless animals and those of pet owners who are living on a fixed income as the difference between life and death is often an emergency visit to a veterinarian for medical treatment. Red Rose is not just limited to helping homeless animals but homeless pet owners who refuse to give up their animals and are living in their vehicles or elsewhere. Through a program created with a transitional home in Cottonwood called Angie's House, the program "Getting Back On Your Paws" was created to sponsor weekly stays in a home keeping the pet owner and animal companion together in one location. Red Rose Inspiration For Animals promotes Art and Craft Shows exclusively in West Sedona that are not affiliated with any other shows. These shows take place only at Olde Sedona Bar and Grill. Red Rose has made a commitment to help animals in Sedona and across the Verde Valley. Red Rose has always networked with other rescue organizations outside of Sedona and across the Verde Valley and Flagstaff since founded in 2009. The ability to do more for these animals requires funding therefore Red Rose will be opening a Thrift Store and Artist Boutique creating the Red Rose Thriftique.. Supported by a volunteer team allows 100 percent of the proceeds to benefit Red Rose and the FREE animal rescue programs created through them. The Red Rose Thriftique will open soon in the Bell Rock Plaza in the Village of Oak Creek.
