Sedona Charter School

Sedona Charter School Sedona Charter School was founded in 1995 and is the oldest charter school in Arizona. We offer Pre-K and a full Montessori program for grades K through 6.

We are an "A" rated, tuition-free Montessori Elementary and Middle School located on a 5-acre campus in West Sedona. We challenge each child to achieve excellence through an individualized program, which inclues a schoolwide musical strings program. We inspire a passion for learning, instill a sense of personal responsibility, and cultivate a respect for the environment and involvement in the community. We offer a world-class musical strings program beginning with Suzuki violin instruction in first grade. Our 5-acre campus offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning, and our students venture out on field trips that take advantage of our southwest location. Our teaching staff is highly qualified and experienced, and dedicated to helping their students gain the skills they need to grow into outstanding young adults.

🍂Fall 🍁has come to visit the primary classroom, with a unit study on 🍎apples🍏, including an apple taste test, applesauce making, apple dissection, and Apple comparisons. The Primary class has observed many signs of nature and created nature sculptures. Weekly visits to the Sedona library for storytime have been a huge hit with Ms Sam. The class throughly enjoyed a visit from the pediatrician Dr Block teaching about healthy handwashing and germs setting the groundwork for cold and flu season.🦠There is a lot of learning happening over in the Sunflower room.

What an extraordinary experience for the Sedona Charter School primary class to celebrate Earth Day 🌎 with enchanting activities such as paper making, color chip matching, seed harvesting, and paper seed tape making, while learning the importance of earth care; and isn't it magical how they've been immersed in the wonder of learning about the lifecycle of chickens, proudly witnessing the incubation and hatching of 13 adorable baby chicks, because embracing the earth's beauty is truly a special part of being human on this incredible planet 🌏.
