THIS IS ILLEGAL DUMPING!
If anyone knows these individuals seen here blatantly dumping their giant pieces of wood into our cardboard recycling bin in broad daylight yesterday, weâd be extremely grateful for that information.
We are small non profit operation, we are not a dumping site for people who donât want to pay to dispose of their own trash.
We pay $580/month in trash collection service for our organization and 90% of that comes from contamination (non recyclable items placed in our bins). Most of it is small items that add up, but far too often, it is overt dumping like thisâconstruction debris, furniture, mattresses, etc.
When inconsiderate individuals like this put these large items in our bins, our staff has to stop doing their normal work to manually remove them. This costs our organization money, time, and resources â and itâs totally avoidable.
Behavior like this is why weâve had to close many of our drop-off sites over the years.
Please, let any Sedona Recycles team member know whenever you see something like this happening.
