Why local support matters now more than ever:
🥫 Demand surges in September. Families are facing back-to-school expenses, higher utility bills, and ongoing economic pressures.
👷 Working families need help, too. Many people seeking food assistance live in households where at least one adult works. A paycheck does not always cover rent, groceries, transportation, and other basic needs.
🏠 Sedona’s unusually high cost of living contributes to a hidden hunger crisis. Housing costs are among the highest in the country, while many local workers rely on lower-paying jobs in hospitality, tourism, retail, and other service industries. This gap between wages and living expenses places an especially heavy burden on working families in our community.
👨👩👧👦 Children and families are counting on us. The Sedona Community Food Bank serves more than 200 local families every week, provides weekend emergency food packs to approximately 80 local elementary students, and distributes hundreds of snacks through area schools.
💙 Your donation has an amplified impact. Local food banks can stretch financial gifts through wholesale purchasing, food-rescue partnerships, and community distribution networks—turning your generosity into more food for more neighbors.
No one in our community should have to choose between paying rent, keeping the lights on, and putting food on the table. Together, we can help ensure that children, seniors, working families, and individuals have access to nutritious food when they need it most.
