With so many programs helping so many people, sometimes it's amazing that Sedona Community Food Bank manages to do everything, sometimes all at once! How does this happen? VOLUNTEERS, that's the answer! Our dedicated crew of volunteers work tirelessly and cheerfully, knowing that everything they do makes a big difference in the lives of our community members. This past week, we thanked them all at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, a joyful occasion when we gather together for a meal, to talk and meet and express our appreciation for each other. THANK YOU ALL!

Now’s the time! It’s Stamp Out Hunger Day!! Drop off your grocery bags filled with nonperishable foods wherever you get your mail this morning! Our volunteers will head out to pick them up after 9 am. You may also deliver your bags to the post office. No “official” yellow bag? No problem. Use whatever grocery bags you have - the more the merrier!

Just another reminder: THIS SATURDAY, May 9, is the annual National Association of Letter Carriers/ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the biggest nationwide food drive every year! Fill 1 or 2 or more grocery bags with nonperishable, unexpired, unopened foods and early Saturday morning, set them out wherever you get your mail. Or bring to the post office! You may receive a yellow plastic bag from your letter carrier but if you don't, use any grocery bags you have! Our volunteers will be picking up the bags and delivering them to our processing center for sorting. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION!!

Just a reminder because we KNOW you'd hate to miss out on this opportunity to help our friends and neighbors in need:
The 2026 Stamp Out Hunger nationwide food drive is coming up THIS SATURDAY, May 9!*** This National Association of Letter Carriers’ sponsored food drive has, in recent years, brought in an average of 7,500 POUNDS of food for Sedona Community Food Bank.
This week, shop for the drive every time you stop at the grocery, and fill a bag with nonperishable nutritious unexpired unopened foods! (You might get a yellow Stamp Out Hunger bag in your mail to use, but any bag or bags will do - paper, reusables, plastic.
***On Saturday May 9, place your bag or bags on or near your mailbox in the morning. In Sedona (this may vary elsewhere) our volunteer crews will pick up all the bags and bring them to our sorting center for processing.
Shopping tips: Examples of foods we need are: canned fruits and vegetables, shelf stable milk, cereal, beans, juices, condiments, granola bars, peanut butter, canned soups and chili and canned meat and fish.
This is an easy and powerful way to give back and to help Sedona Community Food Bank’s clients! We couldn't do what we do without YOU!
