Join us for a potluck style community gathering to bring like-minded people together to share, learn, and eat!

• 3-7PM Dinner Served at 5PM

The festival focus will be on celebrating our local food systems, food sovereignty, supporting local growers, seed saving and native and edible plants. This will be a time for us to give thanks for our harvest and to share what Mother Earth has provided for the upcoming winter months.

Bring a dish to share made with ingredients that you have grown or forged in our beautiful region, or use local products from the Verde Valley.

Gardens for Humanity is looking for teaching artists/gardeners to join our team. We offer an after school club at five schools in the Verde Valley – 4 in Cottonwood, plus West Sedona School.

In these popular clubs, kids discover the beautiful and intricate connections that support life. They experience, through a variety of art, how all the systems work together, and have the chance to observe and express these connections in a fun and creative way!

The grants we receive enable us to compensate our teachers while they bring life to our clubs. Lead teachers receive $50 per hour, plus materials. See the flyer below for details about the clubs. Contact us for more information: [email protected]

We are honoring Janice Montgomery, President of the Verde Thumbs Garden Club, with a gift for her retirement, and encourage you to donate on the "Go Fund Me" site: https://gofund.me/1401f1ec

We are celebrating Janice's many gifts to our gardening community at the Verde Thumbs meeting on Saturday, February 15, 2025, 10 am at the Cottonwood City Library.

In 2015 Janice joined with Richard Sidy, President of Gardens for Humanity, to create the Verde Valley Seed Library. This was an outgrowth of our long-time partnership to assist home, school, and community gardens in the Verde Valley. For almost a decade Janice has been a board member of Gardens for Humanity, contributing her valuable experience.
