Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona The Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona is an affiliate of the Arizona Community Foundation serving Sedona and the Verde Valley.

ACF of Sedona helps local philanthropists give where they live through impactful gifts and competitive grant cycles. Established in 1991, the Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona is a family of charitable funds created for the community, by the community. Some funds have a broad grantmaking focus while others target a specific organization or field. Grants are awarded year-round either through d

onor advice or through a competitive process overseen by our local Board of Advisors. Since inception, ACF of Sedona has awarded more than $5 million dollars in grants and scholarships to local nonprofit organizations and students in the Sedona and the Verde Valley.

The ACF of Sedona 2026 grant cycle opens Monday, August 3!
Nonprofits, schools, tribal entities, and municipalities serving Sedona and Verde Valley communities are encouraged to apply. Applications are due Friday, August 21.

To help organizations prepare, ACF of Sedona is offering two free grant application workshops covering the online grants portal, eligibility guidelines, and tips for developing an effective application. The same information will be shared at each session.

This morning we celebrated with The Verde Valley Humane Society as they "unleashed" their new Adoption Park. This fully fenced and shaded area allows owners to bond with their potential new dogs outside, as if they were in their own backyard. ACF of Sedona and the Verde Valley was thrilled to be a partner on this project and meet many passionate board members and community advocates today. Is there anything cuter than the dog unwrapping the ribbon?!

What a special day in Sedona! On April 22, Arizona Community Foundation of Sedona proudly hosted the 25th Annual Spirit of Philanthropy Celebration, bringing together more than 200 community leaders, donors, nonprofit partners, and supporters at Agave of Sedona.

Together, we honored our 2026 Spirit of Philanthropy award recipients and celebrated the nonprofit organizations whose work continues to strengthen the region we call home.

Guests heard inspiring remarks from Board Chair Val Wilson, President and CEO Anna María Chávez, and Regional Director Chelsea Buck-Leilich, watched a powerful video highlighting local nonprofits, and enjoyed a locally crafted lunch and live music before recognizing six outstanding individuals and organizations—from Nonprofit of the Year to Philanthropist of the Year—for their generosity and lasting impact.

Community is our middle name. And moments like this show exactly why.
