After losing their home in a fire, this family of five has moved eight times and is now living in a small fifth wheel. A 1,400-square-foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom mobile home has already been donated at no cost to the family. The remaining challenge is covering the transportation, labor, fuel, utility disconnection, and setup needed to move it safely to their land on the Navajo Nation.

She sleeps on the bathroom floor. Every night. 💔
That’s what the mother told me when I asked where her children slept.

The Manygoats Family has been living in a cramped 5th wheel on the Navajo Nation reservation since a fire took their home years ago. No running water. No electricity. Five people. An outhouse a football field away.

And yet

Their youngest daughter breaks wild horses with her bare hands. 🐎 She gentles them, trades them with neighboring families for livestock that feeds her family.

They volunteered — all five of them together — to build their community’s ceremonial hall. The place where their neighbors gather to pray and heal.
When they finally had space, they took in two more children who needed safety.

This family has given everything they have — to everyone around them — for years.

And when they finally had breathing room — they opened their door to two more children who needed a safe place to go. ❤️

We’ve donated a 1,400 sq ft home to them — 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms — completely free of charge. Volunteers on the reservation are already standing by to install it the moment it arrives.

🔧 Disconnecting electricity, sewer and plumbing

That sentence broke me.

Meet the Manygoats Family — five people, one aging 5th wheel on the Navajo Nation reservation. A fire took their home years ago. They've moved 8 times since. No running water. No electricity. An outhouse a football field away.

When their two oldest children finally moved out, the parents could have rested. Instead they opened their door to two adolescent children who had been removed from an unsafe home.
Once again — a family of five. Same cramped 5th wheel. Same freezing winters. Same brutal Arizona summers.

We have a 1,400 sq ft home — 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms — already donated to this family at zero cost. Volunteers on the reservation are standing by to install it the moment it arrives.

What we need help with: disconnecting electricity, sewer and plumbing, separating the home into two halves, two round trips totaling 12 hours of driving, and preparing a level foundation on their land.
