GFWC Sedley Woman's Club

GFWC Sedley Woman's Club Our club is a civic organization that supports projects in the Sedley, Courtland, Franklin communities and surrounding areas. Message for more information.

We meet every second Tuesday of the month (Sept - May) at 7 pm at Grace Memorial United Methodist Church on Peachtree Avenue in Sedley, VA. All women ages 18 years and up may join our club or just stop in and visit to see if the club is something you would be interested in. We'd love to have you come check us out.

The GFWC Sedley Woman's Club had a delightful Christmas dinner meeting hosted by Cindy Darden and Sharon Patterson at Cindy's house and by Betsy Wegman at her house. Great food and even better friends. Missed members who could not join us and hope to see you soon!

Sorry, but Santa letters will be late. The shipment to the North Pole on Dec 2 was sent by the post office the scenic route via Jacksonville, FL. Ugh! The letters are in Seattle and hopefully will be at the North Pole Monday or Tuesday. So the letters should come - hopefully before Christmas day. Sorry, but out of my control. So, if anyone asks, that's the deal.

Hope you are noticing the new Sedley street banners. The GFWC Sedley Woman's Club raised the money for them. Vickie Felts and Boyd Felts put them up for us today (Oct 4). Thanks much to all who made this happen. They are beautiful!

Phyllis Barton and I had another successful day on Sept 2 at Riverdale Elementary. As members of the GFWC Sedley Woman's Club, we put bus stickers on all the kids to help them remember what bus to get on that afternoon. Hope the stickers were still on them by the end of the day. 😅 We have been providing Helping Hands first day of school for 20+ years. 🥰
