Today, the ladies from Open Door are attending the 2026 Regional Meeting in Jefferson City!

We are excited to learn new ways to help set our neighbors up for success while also receiving important updates and resources to better serve our community.

Today, we proudly presented the “Golden Can Award”🏆 to Inter-State Studio & Publishing Company, Yeager's Cycle, W-K Chevrolet Buick GMC, Tyson Foods - Sedalia, and LifePointe Church.

This award recognizes the meaningful impact these businesses and organizations have made through their support of Open Door’s mission to help our community thrive. Their generosity and commitment allow us to continue serving those in need and creating positive change throughout our community. ❤️

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet..." 💡

Watching our community grow through the "Stepping Forward with God" series over the last 6 weeks has been a blessing.

We want to keep that light shining! If you’ve been meaning to join us, we are currently gathering names for our upcoming next round. By signing up, it ensures you’ll have all the materials and a spot in a small group for the next kickoff. Bible Study is held every Thursday at 1 PM at Open Door Kitchen.

A huge THANK YOU to all of the incredible volunteers from Heartland Coca-Cola, Amazon.com, Lions Club of Sedalia - Missouri, United Way of Pettis County, Church on the Move volunteers, and the many other individuals who gave their time and energy Saturday for the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!

We especially thank our local Letter Carriers!
Because of your hard work, generosity, and willingness to serve, 8,230 lbs. of food was collected to help stock the shelves at Open Door and support families in our community.

From loading trucks, picking up food, unloading the food, and everything in between — we truly could not do this without you.

We are so grateful for every volunteer, mail carrier, staff member, and supporter who helped make the day a success. Your kindness and servant hearts made a big difference for so many people.

Thank you for showing what community is all about! ❤️

Be sure to place your BLUE BAG filled with non-perishable food items by your mailbox, and your mail carrier — or one of our volunteers — will pick it up!
Every donation helps provide hope and meals to local families in need. We are so thankful for the amazing support from our community and our dedicated mail carriers who make this event possible each year! ❤️

The National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive — Stamp Out Hunger — is this Saturday! 📬🥫

Just place your non-perishable food donations by your mailbox, or on your porch, before your mail carrier arrives, and we’ll take care of the rest!

We’ll be out early Saturday morning helping collect donations throughout the community.
