American Polypay Sheep Association Welcome to the ASPSA page! The Polypay breed was the result of frustration because of the need for more productive sheep.

Reed and Clarence Hulet set out to make this dream a reality. In 1970 the first 4- breed composite were produced. The 4 breeds that make up the Polypay are: Finnsheep x Rambouillet & Dorset x Targhee. "Polypay" = "Poly" many, and "Pay" to indicate return on investment and labor, (term coined by Dr. Hulet in 1975).
