Our Thanksgiving Food Drive has collected **245 pounds of food so far!** 🥫👏

We are so grateful to everyone who has donated and helped us get this food drive started! Every donation makes a difference as we work to help families in our community enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

With the Salvation Army Food Pantry closing earlier this year, we're hoping to make an even bigger impact by helping provide food for the upcoming holidays.

❤️ Want to donate? Look for one of our Food Drive Host, or you can drop off your donation at Open Door Service Center 111 W. 6th St., Sedalia MO

🦃❤️ **From Thanksgiving to Christmas — Open Door is Stepping Up!** 🎄

Every year, Open Door Service Center Inc. hosts our **Thanksgiving Food Drive** to help make sure families in our community have food on their tables for the holiday.

In past years, the **Salvation Army Food Pantry hosted the Christmas Food Drive**, helping provide food for families during the Christmas season. Since the Salvation Army Food Pantry closed earlier this year, we know there will be an even greater need in our community.

So this year, **Open Door is going a little further!** ❤️

We will be hosting our **Thanksgiving Food Drive and continuing it into a Christmas Food Drive**, helping provide holiday food for families throughout both seasons.

We can't do it alone! We are asking churches, businesses, organizations, schools, families, and individuals to consider **hosting a food drive, collecting donations, or donating food** to help make a difference.

Together, we can help make sure more families have a Thanksgiving and Christmas meal to share. 🥧🍗🎄

📦 **Want to host a food drive or collection barrel?** Contact **our Events Coordinator, at 660-827-1613** to get started!

Thank you for always showing up for our community. ❤️
**When we work together, we can make a BIG difference!**

🎉🎂 HELP US MAKE BIRTHDAY WISHES COME TRUE! 🎁🥳

Every child deserves to feel special on their birthday! ❤️

Through our Birthday Bag Program, we provide children ages 1–18 with a special bag during their birthday month, filled with everything they need for a birthday celebration! 🎈
Each bag includes cake mix, frosting, a cake pan, birthday candles, and age-appropriate toys or gifts and we need YOUR help to keep the celebrations going! 🎁
We're currently accepting donations of:

🎁 Toys and gifts for all ages — especially BOYS and TEENAGERS! These are our greatest needs!
🎂 Frosting and disposable cake pans
🕯️ Birthday candles
🛍️ Gift bags large enough to hold birthday supplies
🎈 Other fun birthday goodies!

We're well stocked on cake mix right now, but we could really use help filling the rest of our bags!
Whether it's a toy for a toddler, a gift for a teenager, or a pack of birthday candles, every donation helps us make a child's birthday a little brighter. 💕

🥳 Because every child deserves to be celebrated!
Thank you for helping us spread a little birthday magic! 🎉

You may drop these items off at the food pantry at 111 W 6th St

🦃 WE NEED EXTRA HANDS THIS THANKSGIVING! 🧡

Our Thanksgiving Bag Program is almost here, and we're calling on our community to help make it happen!

In addition to our regular monthly food assistance, we're providing special Thanksgiving bags to help local families enjoy a holiday meal.

But we can't do it without YOU!

🙌 Calling all businesses, churches, clubs, school groups, organizations, and individuals!

We're looking for extra volunteers over a four-week period to help us prepare for and carry out this special holiday project.

October 26th through November 5th we will need help anytime during our normal pantry operating hours with sorting and bagging.

November 9-19 we will need help distributing during the times below.

🤝 Groups are welcome and encouraged! Bring your coworkers, teammates, friends, or fellow organization members and make a difference together.

Just a few hours of your time can help make Thanksgiving a little brighter for our neighbors.

📞 Ready to help? Contact Nichole at 660-827-1613, or message on FB to sign up for a shift or schedule your group!

🧡 Let's make Thanksgiving happen, together!
