Today, VFW Post 2591 paused to honor the true meaning of Memorial Day.

This day is about remembrance.

We remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. We remember the families who carried that loss forward. We remember the names, the stories, and the sacrifices that bought the freedoms we enjoy today.

Every flag placed, every headstone visited, and every moment of silence matters.

From all of us at VFW Post 2591, thank you to everyone who volunteered with us at Crown Hill Cemetery to continue our tradition of honoring the soldiers, sailors, Marines, Airmen, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen who gave their lives in defense of our freedom.

Their sacrifice is never forgotten.
