16-Year-Old Jayden Livingston and Pet Dog Shot and Killed in Walkertown, NC
INVESTIGATIVE POST - North Carolina
A 16-year-old boy and his dog were shot and killed.
Let that sink in.
This happened just before 6:00 a.m. at a rural home in Forsyth County.
Deputies responded to a call on New Walkertown Road and found:
One juvenile male
One canine
Both suffering from gunshot wounds
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff, Bobby F. Kimbrough Jr., didn’t mince words.
He called it “senseless juvenile violence” and said there is a “monster among us.”
And right now — that monster is still out there.
This wasn’t the middle of the day.
This wasn’t random timing.
👉 This happened before sunrise
👉 In a rural setting
👉 With a kid and his dog
That tells you something.
Dogs don’t just get shot alongside someone by accident. A dog is an alarm. A witness. A protector.
Whoever did this:
Didn’t panic
Didn’t hesitate
And didn’t stop at one life

Cases like this don’t stay quiet forever.
They break one of two ways:
Someone talks
Someone slips
And in rural communities… people notice things.
We cover a lot of cases involving dogs.
But this one is different.
This isn’t just about a dog.
This isn’t just about a crime.
When someone kills a kid and his dog in the dark of the morning…
that’s not confusion. That’s not an accident.
That’s intent.
If you know something — say something.
Because right now:
A family lost a child
A loyal dog died beside him
And a killer is still walking free
