📢 CABINET UPDATE AT WHERE HOPE BEGINS 💙

Our outside donation cabinet has officially given up! 😅 We have repaired it several times, but unfortunately, it has now broken again and we don’t feel comfortable continuing to use it.

Because of this, we will not be restocking the outside cabinet for the time being. We are hoping to have a replacement cabinet in place by next week!

💙 WE NEED YOUR HELP! 💙

If you have a waterproof outdoor cabinet that you are no longer using and would be willing to donate to Where Hope Begins, please reach out to us! We would be so grateful. 🙏

This little cabinet has been a huge blessing to our community, allowing families to pick up needed items even when our office isn’t open.

📢 A QUICK UPDATE FROM WHERE HOPE BEGINS 💗

We wanted to let everyone know that today we will be in and out of the building and will not be there all day. We have several things going on today that we are working on behind the scenes. ❤️

If you are planning to stop by for a visit today, please send us a message first so we can make sure someone is available to help you.

🎁 If you have donations to bring, we kindly ask that you please wait until Friday to drop them off. We truly appreciate every single donation and your continued support of Where Hope Begins! 🥰

🎂🎉 BIRTHDAY BASKET SIGN-UPS ARE NOW OPEN! 🎉🎂

Where Hope Begins is now accepting Birthday Basket sign-ups through Friday for children who have birthdays in September and October! 💗
MUST LIVE IN JACKSON/DEKALB COUNTIES

These baskets are for families who are in need and may not be able to provide their child with a birthday celebration. Our goal is to help make their special day a little brighter! 🥳

🎈 Each birthday basket includes:
🎂 Supplies for a birthday cake
🎉 Small birthday decorations
🎁 A small gift for the birthday child

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please make sure you provide ALL correct and complete information on the application so we can make sure your child receives their basket in time.

📌 Baskets will be given out weekly, so if your child has an October birthday, you may receive your basket as early as September.

🚗 Pick-up is requested whenever possible due to our limited availability for deliveries.

❗Please remember: These baskets are ONLY for children with birthdays in September or October. If an application is submitted for a different month, the application will be deleted.

We are so thankful for everyone who helps us make birthdays a little more special for children in our community! 💕🎂

🎃 Make a Difference Monday 🎃

We are so incredibly thankful for the continued support of Where Hope Begins! ❤️ Because of YOU, we have been able to provide household essentials and meet so many needs in our community over the last several months. We are currently preparing for several upcoming projects, and we could use your help!

🎃 HALLOWEEN COSTUME GIVEAWAY 🎃
Our Halloween costume giveaway will begin the second week of October, and we are now accepting NEW and gently used Halloween costumes!

Last year, we gave away around 50 costumes, and this year we are expecting to give away DOUBLE that number—or even more! 👻🎃

👗 FORMAL DRESSES 👗
We are also collecting formal dresses now as we prepare for the spring. Our hope is to have a Prom/Formal Dress Giveaway beginning in January or February, so if you have dresses taking up space in your closet, we would love to give them a new purpose!

🏠 HOUSEHOLD ESSENTIALS NEEDED 🏠
Over the last two months, we have helped several households with many of the everyday things needed to make a home. Because of that, we are running LOW on:

🍽️ Dishes
🥄 Silverware
🍳 Cooking utensils
🏡 Everyday household essentials

We also accept furniture donations! If you have furniture you would like to donate but don’t have a way to deliver it, please reach out to us. We may be able to help arrange a pickup. 🚚

We are so grateful for every donation—whether it is new or gently used. What may be sitting unused in your home could be exactly what another family needs. ❤️

💙 MAKE A DIFFERENCE MONDAY 💙
Where Hope Begins

We have been BUSY over the last several weeks! 🏠✨ We’ve been blessed to help so many families by giving out household essentials, furniture, kitchen items, bedding, towels, and so many other things families need to make a house feel like home.

Because we have given out so many of these items, our supplies are getting low—and right now, we are especially in need of TOWELS! 🛁

We will gladly accept:
🧺 New towels
🧺 Gently used towels — as long as they are clean and have no stains

If you’ve recently gone through your linens and have extra towels you no longer need, we would LOVE to put them to good use in a local family’s home! ❤️

We are also currently accepting donations of:
🏠 Household essentials
🎃 Halloween costumes
👗 Formal dresses for upcoming events

📢 Where Hope Begins Office Update 📢

Beginning tomorrow, August 7th, we will have a few changes to our office hours.

🕙 New Office Hours:
Mondays & Fridays
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
(Unless otherwise posted.)

We understand that these hours may not work for everyone, so we are happy to schedule appointments on other days as needed.

To better serve our community, we will also begin accepting appointments by having you fill out a short scheduling form. This will help us better organize appointments and ensure we can meet each family’s needs. We will share more information on how to schedule soon.
