💙 School Shoe Sponsorship Update 💙

Thank you so much to everyone who has already stepped up to sponsor a child with a new pair of school shoes — your generosity is making a real difference! We will be reaching out soon.

We have have had over 70 families sign up, and many of those families have three or more children, which means the need is still very great. We are thankful, but we are also in need of many more sponsors to help us meet this growing need. 65 kids are left to be sponsored.

If you would like to sponsor a child and help ensure they start the school year confident and prepared, please fill out the form at the link provided.

If you feel led to help with school shoes, but unable to shop, we accept monetary donations through cash, check, paypal or our website. Just make note for school shoes. Checks can be mailed to

💙 New School Shoe Program Update 👟

At Where Hope Begins, we are so thankful for the incredible response to our new school shoe sign-ups. Because of the overwhelming need and the large number of children already registered, we will be pausing new sign-ups so we can ensure that every child currently signed up is fully sponsored.

🕛 Sign-ups will be paused beginning tomorrow at 12:00 PM and will remain paused until we receive enough sponsors to cover each child.

Our hope is that, with the help of our amazing community, we will be able to reopen sign-ups before the middle of June if additional sponsors step forward.

Update: We are in much need of sponsors! We have 152 kids signed up and only 69 sponsored at the moment. Please sign up to help meet these needs! We are closing signups 25 days early because of not having enough sponsors. Last year 75 pairs of shoes were purchased, this year the need is much greater!!! Feel free to share. If you want to send messages out to family to help we can send you the link for signup privately. Send pm!!!

👟 New School Shoe Sign-Ups👟

At Where Hope Begins, we are now accepting sign-ups for children to receive new school shoes for the 2026–2027 school year. Children must attend school in Jackson/Dekalb counties Alabama.

This program is for households in need, and all information provided is completely confidential.

🗓 Sign-ups are open now through June 20
📍 Shoes will be delivered or available for pick-up the week of August 1

We’re getting ready to launch our New School Shoes Project, and we’d love for you to be part of it. This is a simple, meaningful way to help a child start the school year with confidence.

If you’re interested in sponsoring a child (or more than one) by providing a new pair of school shoes, please sign up using the link below.
