Hudson County Complete Streets

Hudson County Complete Streets Our mission is to improve connectivity and transportation equity in Hudson County.

🌿✨ What a day at the Secaucus Green Festival! Hudson County Complete Streets was out here doing what we do best — advocating for better, safer streets and better transportation, and having a blast doing it! 🚲💚

We gave out cargo bike rides on our family cargo bikes and the smiles were absolutely UNMATCHED. From kiddos to parents, everyone got a taste of what car-free fun looks like!

A huge thank you to for hosting such an amazing community event and giving us a chance to show Secaucus what sustainable transportation can look and feel like. 🙌

And shoutout to the for providing an es**rt for everyone who biked to the festival — making sure our riders arrived safely and in style. That kind of community partnership means everything. 💙

This is what building a greener, more connected Hudson County looks like. See you at the next one! 👀

Transit Forum is finally here! While we’re excited to see all of you tomorrow, it’s important to first thank the sponsors that made it possible. It’s a long list!

Transit advocacy, and this event, would be impossible without your support. We appreciate you, through and through.

Our Bergen Arches tours! By #119 bus or by bike!

Rain seems likely, but we intend on proceeding with infrastructure tours so long as rain and wind isn’t excessive. If you intend on joining an infrastructure tour, we highly recommend comfortable shoes and an umbrella.

INDOOR ALTERNATIVE - Should you wish to avoid the rain entirely, in place of infrastructure tours, HudCoStreets and BikeJC trustee Ryan Williams will be presenting “Data-driven Advocacy,” and NJCU Professor Joel Katz will be screening his documentary “The #1 Bus Chronicles.”

If you haven’t seen these, they are a wonderful option!

Looking forward to seeing you all,

HudCoStreets

Rain or shine, we’ve got great ways to spend Saturday afternoon at Transit Forum!

If you’re not bothered by a little rain, bring an umbrella and join us for one of the four options as you see above! We suggest wearing comfortable shoes for the best experience.

If staying dry is more to your liking, ’ own is giving a presentation of some of his work, “Data-driven Advocacy,” which gives a look into how data guides our efforts, and sometimes delivers results that surprise even those most connected to transit advocacy.

Thereafter, to close the afternoon before final remarks, we’re fortunate to have Professor and filmmaker, Joel Katz, screen his film, “The #1 Bus Chronicles.” seen on .

Last week, we were thrilled to see ‘s own Mayor Solomon (and many others)* recommit JC to reaching .

We hope to see other Hudson County municipalities take steps to do the same, and of course, that , , and continue (and even accelerate) projects like JFK BRT, the 14th Street Viaduct, and the Blvd East redesign.

These commitments and projects save lives, so there’s no time to waste!

We are excited to announce that Chair and NJDOT Commissioner Priya Jain is taking CEO Kris Kolluri’s spot as our keynote speaker at Transit Forum.

While it’s unfortunate that Kris had an unexpected conflict, he couldn’t have chosen a more appropriate colleague to take his place!

11 Days!

Transit isn’t just about getting from point A to point B, it’s about everything surrounding it. Time stuck in traffic, money wasted on car repairs, noise/water/air pollution? Transit is the solution to all those and way more!

So, acknowledging that reality, and the dire need for better transportation solutions across the board, we’re bringing together elected officials, businesspeople, and the rider community to better understand and overcome the challenges of transit in North Jersey, and we invite the whole community to join us.
