I need everyone to really hear me right now:
I am STILL full.
I cannot take in any more cats at the moment.
We are stretched thin, overwhelmed, and completely out of space.
Until the cats and kittens already here get adopted, nothing can move forward.
Yes, I have a list.
Yes, you might be on it.
Some of you have been waiting for weeks — not because I don’t care, but because adoptions have stalled.
I’m watching the list grow while the cats in my care stay stuck, and it’s heartbreaking.
And then I get asked, “Why aren’t you doing adoption events?”
So let me say this clearly:
Adoption events are a LOT.
They take planning, people, transportation, setup, breakdown, paperwork, follow‑up — all of it.
And right now, I simply do not have the time or volunteer power to make those events happen.
I have a job outside the rescue.
I have young kids.
I have a full rescue to run — and it’s not just cats.
It’s multiple species, multiple medical cases, multiple emergencies, every single day.
And I don’t have a regular vet I can call every time something goes wrong… which lately feels like it’s almost every single day. So I am losing full days going out of town for vet care.
And I need to be honest about this part too:
I hate having this conversation.
I know things are tough for everyone.
And we’re over here struggling just as hard, trying to hold on with both hands. We know this county cannot afford to lose another rescue.
I am doing everything I can.
But until adoptions start happening, I cannot take in more.
Please adopt, share, and help move the cats already in my care — that’s the only way I can help the next ones waiting.
