We envisioned The Palms at Sebring residents receivie heartwarming gifts this year, and it was an absolute honor to help disseminate love, kindness, and joy to those without gifts this year. Many residents do not have the friends and families to be with them, as The Palms is their family. The Foundation aspired to make the holiday season extra special for folks in long-term care and in the healthcare unit. Amy O'Hern made the heartfelt presentation to Julia Mercer, Marketing Director, The Palms at Sebring. The Palms Foundation wishes a very Merry Christmas and blessed holiday to you all!

Samaritan's Touch shines as a beacon of hope, offering medical care to those who don't qualify for assistance from other sources, and their unwavering dedication is truly inspiring. However, they're facing a challenge - a decrease in pharmaceutical samples provided by companies. As a result, Samaritan's Touch is shouldering more of the costs for these medications than ever before. They're currently seeking a kidney specialist and a dentist, and they offer mental health counseling sessions and weekly diabetic clinics. Please reach out if you're able to lend a helping hand. The Palms Foundation has generously gifted $10,000 to help offset the expenses. Paul Staik, Board President, made the heartwarming presentation to Bill Stephenson, Executive Director Samaritan Touch in Sebring.

Sheryl Paplakas, Executive Director of Heartland Horses Equine Activities and Learning Inc., has been awarded $3000 to support the acquisition of a side-by-side vehicle for transporting feed, hay, and water across the seven-acre pasture. Ridge Area Arc is facilitating the attendance of 10 participants at a weekend conference in Orlando, designed for individuals with specific learning needs, focusing on self-awareness, career development, and essential life skills not readily available in local settings. Ridge Area Arc has been awarded $5000, accepted by Kathleen Border.

The Who I Am Foundation received a $4,000 allocation to offset the manufacturing costs of the photo pocket program, which will be integrated into various healthcare environments. Your Life Storyboard serves as a vital resource for healthcare workers to engage with patients who may be non-verbal or experience challenges in recalling key life events. Tracy Stites & Carol Owens received the funds with our own Mary Margaret. ♥️
