When’s the last time you went to the Heritage Festival?
By Tiffanie Nicole | Pulse of the Heartland

The Heritage Festival returns April 11 and 12 at Pearce Homestead in Lorida, continuing a long standing local tradition centered around old Florida living, history, and community connection.

The event opens daily at 10 a.m. and offers a full day of family-friendly activities including live music, historical demonstrations, local exhibits, and interactive experiences such as the Native Village Rescue reptile presentation. Featured entertainment includes performances by Barney and Nancy as well as The Lee Alcorn Band.

Admission is $10 per car, making it an accessible way for families to spend time together while experiencing a piece of Highlands County’s heritage.

Events like this have remained a staple in the community, bringing together residents across generations to slow down, step back in time, and enjoy a different pace of life.

When’s the last time you went to the Heritage Festival?

We also got a sneak peak at the newly remodeled schoolhouse with its new walls and school bell!! Thank you Butch and Donna for preserving an amazing part of history at the Pearce Homestead.

Did you know that Lee Allcorn Band is hosting our Cowboy Church on Sunday, April 14th? This is going to be epic! Lee and his son Taylor and the rest of the band are great witnesses for their Christian Ministry. Sunday morning Church service at the Pearce Homestead is like no other.

If you can’t make it to our Cowboy Church, Lee and his band will be performing again later that same day, from 3-4pm, to close out our amazing event!!! See you there!!
