Heartland Helping Hands Inc. We are working hard in the heartland of Florida to assist veterans with vision and dental care that is not commonly provided by the VA for all veterans.

In addition, we provide food and other assistance to local veterans in need. We also provide public service career scholarships for graduating seniors of veteran families attending South Florida State College. We are organizing several events in Highlands County to raise funds for these programs. The Avon Park Mall Festival (Springapalooza), Halloween Festivals in Avon Park and Lake Placid, the Ch

ristmas Festival in Avon Park along with the Gazebo lighting ceremony, and these are just to name a few. We have many more veteran inspired programs and events in store for our beautiful cities of Highlands County.
