"California Governor Gavin Newsom this morning announced $47 Million in Homeless Housing Funding to California tribal nations to support their efforts to prevent and end homelessness. The Wiyot Tribe will receive more than $14 million to purchase, convert and operate an office building and two single-family Victorian-style homes into 39 interim and permanent units serving homeless youth and one manager unit, to create the Jaroujiji Youth Housing Project in Eureka.

The grant will create 39 units of housing for Youth who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. "This Youth Center is a true blessing. It will help to keep Wiyot youth and homeless youth protected from addictions and dangerous environments that might try to attack them from the outside world. It is our responsibility to keep our children safe,” said Ted Hernandez, Tribal Chairman."

“Sacred instruction, regeneration is the seed of life, renewal and rebirth. A cleansing flame, illuminating opportunities for healing, power in purpose, and a return to the cycles of the earth.”

This year illuminated various opportunities to build regenerative communities, new connections that center equity and the well-being of people and place. Today, you have the opportunity to invest in securing the necessary ReGeneration Nation project that will focus on uplifting the next generation of regenerative leaders and fostering regional collaboration.

If you agree that we need to build regenerative regional economies and access to meaningful and fulfilling livelihoods, will you help us write this next chapter in our planetary journey by donating any monetary size today?

Harvests! Harvests! ReGeneration Nation Magazine is Here!

As we transition from summer to autumnal times, we shift gears towards inward reflections. What are we harvesting from summer's abundance? How can we carry on our harvests enough to last us through the next nipping months?

At Transition US, we took summer to strategize and radically reimagine our structure to reflect the paradigmatic shifts occurring in the world. We asked ourselves: "How can we fill into this universal call of deeper connection to upgrade the levels of regenerative healing?"

Albeit a frightening leap forward into the unknown and new treacherous journey we were stepping into, we lept. This edition showcases the seeds we sowed in spring and summer with faith that a plentiful harvest would come. and so it did with the divine timing in its own playful and unique design.

The wounds of colonization go deep, and the history of violent conquest and centuries of injustices against Native people demand a real commitment to healing and repair. Learning about the history of genocide, policies, and cultural attitudes
towards Native and Indigenous people is essential work in building a contextual understanding of the settler-colonial violence that continues to this day.
Being an ally and accomplice to the communities you claim to support requires action, showing up, and effectively utilizing your privilege and access. It also
means getting uncomfortable, unpacking, and unlearning settler-colonial mindsets that continue to perpetuate violence and erasure against Indigenous
peoples. By reconnecting with the land you reside on and learning to acknowledge the erasure of Native people in your community will help you better show up in solidarity, and avoid placing undue burdens of labor on Native and Indigenous people and communities that you would like to support. Educating yourself on these matters is your responsibility, and feeling entitled to the knowledge and experiences of Native and Indigenous people furthers the extractive paradigm of the settler-colonial project. Making sure that we are working in true solidarity requires unpacking, and digging deeper into the cultural attitudes and assumptions that we may have inherited. Find ways to take action (such as supporting the ), donating to Native-led organizations such as Native Land Conservancy, and showing up for the Indigenous Community in your area and worldwide!

How do you relax during this time? 🌱

"Rest. It's normal, it's radical, and… it's so much more.

Imagine a world with 4-day work weeks. Or maybe even as little as 20-hr work weeks 😦. Now liberated from the oppressive grind, general mental health and social wellbeing has improved. You and your fellow human beings not only have more time for leisure, but also for things like laundry, creativity, political engagement, planet-care, relationship-care, self-care, and self-realization.

Reduced working hours also means less commuting, less production, and less consumption
— and that equals less pollution, less extraction, and less greenhouse gas emissions.

Yes, it's true - taking more naps can actually be part of the solution to some of humanity's biggest challenges. Reduced work weeks and producing less are key proposals of a social movement and political economic theory called , which honors human wellbeing and Earth's ecological limits over profit and material accumulation.

It is a direct counter to our outdated neoliberal capitalist economy centered on a growth-at-all-costs ideology which drives climate change, biodiversity loss, and social inequality.

The rat race hustle culture no longer serves anyone. Reimagining a more sustainable world requires recognizing the power in simplicity, slowness, and ease. It's about asking ourselves what it means to move at a pace that is intentional, and that doesn't destroy the natural world in which all life depends on.

It’s about quality over quantity 💅🏼

Process over production 🌀

Regeneration over extraction and exploitation 🌿

And creating **real** wealth 🌅
