News Flash! SAFER is still a non-profit and I continue to receive calls from horse owners with problems and issues etc. I am amazed at how many daily hits this site continues to receive!
SAFER has received a large donation for Feed emergencies! So we are open for applications for Feed Assistance; DM me at my email [email protected]. I will send you the application. Its low tech so you will have to print it out and return it to me by scan or mail. SAFER will also help rehome horses that are at risk or in difficult circumstances. Call 707-824-9543.
Since I have somewhat recovered from the physical work and strategic stress of auction work - these two items I can manage!

Star needs a companion! A long time SAFER adopter has an opening for a forever home for a new companion for Star. Star recently lost her pasture mate to old age and is lonely! Judy her owner is looking for a mare in her late teens to enjoy the good life on her pastures and new barn. It would be a real bonus if she could be lightly ridden around the property by a smallish woman on occasion. Please no special needs candidates - Judy has done a world of that! If you need to evacuate your horses, Jacob Deutsch has his 10-horse trailer hitched and standing by. No Charge. He is wanting to help however he can.

Might be an odd post. We are looking for the donation of a Unicorn or two. If you know us, you know we try to take the best care possible of our lesson horses. However even with the best care they get old and most of ours are aging out (late 20's,early 30's). We are a barn that believes in keeping costs down for the students and our focus is on kids so I'm hoping there are people /a person out there, willing to donate their horse to our program. I'm happy to provide references from our vet, farrier, feed supplier, clients and people who have donated horses in the past. Our horses live out their lives here, getting retired out to pasture when they can't work anymore. (we have a field full of 30 yr olds! ) Can you help? - This photo is Demi,a donated mare who is one of our favorites, now 29 yrs old.
