Find your Easter eggs? We sort of did!

GSLC acquired an easement on the 7.62-acre Paradise Crest Wetland Preserve in 2014. The Preserve was established to compensate for the impacts of nearby residential development and includes over an acre of newly created wetlands along with two acres of existing wetlands. The Preserve is always teeming with life – especially waterfowl and other birds. Geese are a common sight at Paradise Crest, but our easement monitor was surprised to stumble upon a goose nest (while it’s hard to tell just from the picture, those eggs are huge). Our monitor might also be lucky to be alive having wandered so close, because geese are known to be very protective of their nests!

We are glad to see wildlife using Paradise Crest Wetland Preserve as a reliable refuge.
