Today, on Children’s Day, we celebrate the incredible children who fill our world with hope, joy, and endless possibility. 💙

Every child deserves to be loved, protected, educated, and given the opportunity to thrive. At Imani Milele, we are honored to walk alongside children and families as they build brighter futures together.

As we celebrate, we also remember the millions of children around the world who still face barriers to education, safety, and opportunity. May we continue working together to ensure that every child is seen, valued, and empowered to reach their God-given potential.

As the dry season approaches in Uganda, the land begins to thirst-reminding us of the deeper longing found in Psalm 63:1:
“O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.”
Just as the earth longs for rain, so many children long for the life-giving opportunity of education-hope that nourishes, restores, and prepares them for a brighter future.
At Imani Milele, we believe education is one of the greatest ways to bring renewal in dry seasons. Through learning, children are equipped to rise above hardship and step boldly into the purpose God has for their lives.
This season, as we pray for rain upon the land, we also pray for continued provision-for classrooms filled, minds inspired, and futures transformed.

Today is World Menstrual Hygiene Day 🌸

In Uganda, nearly 65% of women and girls do not have proper access to menstrual hygiene products, forcing many young girls to miss school or rely on unsafe materials during their cycles.

At Imani Milele, we believe no young lady should have to choose between her education, her dignity, and her health. That’s why every girl in our schools is provided with the necessary menstrual hygiene items she needs to stay safe, sanitary, confident, and private each month.

Something as simple as access to proper hygiene products can help keep girls in the classroom, protect their health, and remind them that they are deeply valued.

Today we stand with girls everywhere and continue working toward a future where no girl is held back from her education for any reason. Join us as we seek to make a difference in the life of every child!

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing team from the Sewing Seeds of Hope Mission Group who came to serve alongside us at Imani Milele Children and provided dental kits for our students! 🦷💙
Simple acts of care can make a lasting impact. These kits are more than toothbrushes and toothpaste — they are tools that help our children stay healthy, confident, and cared for. Our students were filled with excitement and joy as they learned the importance of dental hygiene and experienced the love poured into every interaction.
Summer missions are such a powerful reminder that service changes lives — not only for the communities being served, but also for every person who steps out in faith to go. Whether it’s sharing skills, encouragement, laughter, or simply showing up with a willing heart, mission teams help create moments our children will never forget.
As we look ahead to 2027, we would love for YOU to be part of what God is doing through missions at Imani Milele. If you’ve ever considered serving on a mission team, now is the perfect time to start praying and planning. Your gifts, compassion, and presence can make an eternal difference.

These machines will help equip children with practical life skills, opening doors for creativity, confidence, and future opportunities. We are so grateful for partners who invest in the lives and futures of the children we serve!
