The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by our veterans while protecting our freedoms. 🇺🇸

Ready, set, poppy! 🏁 This year for National Poppy Day®, the American Legion Auxiliary is going above and beyond to engage with local communities and bring awareness to the significance and meaning of the poppy by launching a virtual 5K in May. 🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Along with other National Poppy Day activities organized by ALA units and departments, this national event aims to bring more awareness and recognition of the poppy’s significance. 🇺🇸

Today at our meeting Commander Bill Archer presented us with a check for helping the Post with their Golf Outing last year.
We had to wait for the check until we were official.
