Sebring, Fla. (15 March 2024) - The Heart of Racing earned their best Sebring qualifying position for the Twelve Hours of Sebring 2nd for Saturday's race. 🤩

The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring will take the green flag at 9:40 AM ET on Saturday March 2nd. Watch flag to flag coverage on the Peacock App and USA Network from 4:30 PM ET to 10:00 PM ET.

The Heart of Racing scored a fourth place finish in the GTD PRO category of the Rolex 24 At Daytona this weekend.

Alex Riberas, Ross Gunn, and Mario Farnbacher piloted the No. 23 Heart of Racing GTD PRO entry, finishing fourth after starting 11th in class. The race ran at a near-record pace, with the team losing some ground when it was forced to replace the nose during a pitstop after the No. 23 Heart of Racing entry suffered damage while avoiding contact with a crashed prototype.

The Heart of Racing IMSA program will be back in action at the 12 Hours of Sebring March 13-16th. Before its next IMSA round, the team will be competing in both the Bathurst 12 Hours (February 16-18) and the first round of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Qatar (February 23 - March 2).

The Rolex 24 At Daytona is ready to bring the traditional beginning of the global motorsports season to life starting Saturday, and NBC Sports has complete coverage of the 24-hour endurance classic.

Fifty-nine cars and 228 drivers will compete for bragging rights and one of the most cherished prizes in racing: a Rolex watch for each class winner.

Welcome Back Mario Farnbacher!
The team is pleased to announce that multi-IMSA Championship winner Mario Farnbacher will join Ross Gunn and Alex Riberas in the No. 23 Heart of Racing GTD PRO entry as an endurance and reserve driver.

“I’m super excited to join The Heart of Racing Team,” said Farnbacher. “You could even say I’m heading ‘back to my roots’, I pretty much started my American racing career with Ian (James) and Alex (Riberas) in 2014. I had three amazing years with those guys and I’m excited to get to race with them again. I’ve known Ian for a long time now, a big thank you to him and Gabe (Newell) for giving me the chance to join the No. 23 PRO car. I’m really looking forward to the challenge. The AMR GT3 is different from the Acura NSX that I have been driving, but I think the package of the Aston Martin is great. I think we will be really competitive even with the evolution with the new AMR GT3. The IMSA test in December will be my first time in the Aston. I'm looking forward to getting to know the car and how it operates. I’m happy to be where I’m at right now and I can’t wait to get the season started!” Seattle Children's

Drum Roll Please...
The Heart of Racing will make history as the first program to campaign in both WEC and IMSA with the same platform under the FIA WEC Hypercar and IMSA GTP rulesets. The Aston Martin Valkyrie will have a race-optimized carbon fiber chassis with a modified Cosworth-built 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that develops over 1,000bhp.

Based in the United States, The Heart of Racing has partnered with Aston Martin since the program’s inception in 2020 and has delivered race and championship-winning campaigns with the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in IMSA competition.

In 2024, The Heart of Racing plans to return to both IMSA and WEC for its regular seasons while it develops the hypercar program with Aston Martin Racing.

The Heart of Racing races to raise funds and awareness for Seattle Children’s Cardiology Research. The team competes internationally with concurrent campaigns in IMSA, SRO, Formula Drift and the 24H SERIES. Last season The Heart of Racing won the IMSA GTD Championship title in the No. 27 Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The Heart of Racing team hosted their first all-female driver shootout in November of 2022, bringing to the team Hannah Grisham and Rianna O’Meara-Hunt for the 2023 SRO GT4 America season.

The Heart of Racing Team will make its 24 Hours of Le Mans debut tomorrow at the Circuit de le Sarthe in the event’s centenary.

Alex Riberas, Ian James, and Daniel Mancinelli will pilot the No. 98 Aston Martin Vantage GTE. The outing will mark the team’s second World Endurance Championship (WEC) event, competing with Aston Martin under the Northwest AMR entry following the retirement of former Le Mans podium finisher Paul Della Lana earlier this spring.
