We are with our relatives across the country as they gather and march for our missing and murdered loved ones.

Even though it is exhausting and heartbreaking, our people will never stop fighting. We will never stay silent. We will demand justice for as long as it takes.

“Don’t look at the numbers and feel sorry for us,” Abigail Echo-Hawk said in a recent interview. “Look at the numbers and say, ‘How do we ensure that this doesn’t continue?’” Read more at https://bit.ly/42jwTNN

💜 We know how important immunizations are for community health. But mistrust and misinformation can create barriers to care. The data tells us immunizations are safe and effective for all ages, and so does Millie!

🦄 Magical Millie's Courageous Journey tells the story of a young unicorn as she prepares for her flu vaccination. She learns through the stories of her family and friends how to be brave to protect her community.

🔗 As we wrap up World Immunization Week, learn more about immunizations with Magical Millie! Visit our website for more info:

🫶🏽 We know that our communities are doing amazing work serving AI/AN survivors of violence. But that work isn’t always well represented in the data.

❣️In 2021, we collaborated with partners to develop “Building the Sacred,” a framework that prioritizes cultural values and people's lived experiences when evaluating the programs serving them.

⚠️ TW: Domestic violence, sexual assault, MMIWP ⚠️

During Sexual Assault Awareness month, we're highlighting important resources addressing sexual violence in American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities.

Storytelling can be healing. In 2021, UIHI released Supporting the Sacred: Womxn of Resilience, a report detailing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Native femme-identifying survivors of sexual violence. The report also outlines what community organizations can do to make a difference in their communities.

We thank these survivors for sharing their sacred stories, their ways of healing, and for showing others they are not alone.
