Every newsroom in Seattle reported it today.

It wasn’t true.

Seattle Police gave the public information that wasn't true, and every media outlet that trusted them repeated it on their behalf.

Helper Highlight spotted along Aurora Avenue North tonight is Tacos Nazareno—a regular pop-up grill and purveyor of irresistible, rotisserie al pastor burritos that transforms an unremarkable sidewalk into a beacon of flavor.

Flame cooked and seared on a griddle, melted cheese coating a flour tortilla shell wraps your carne of choice in a medley of beans, rice, and on lucky nights slices of grilled pineapple.

Hours are 7pm–1am every night but Monday, currently popping up on the south side of Northgate Way just east of Aurora.

City hall is abuzz waiting for announcement on Aurora safety

THANK YOU to all the neighbors, business owners, civic authorities, and allies who joined the peace march last night against the s*x trafficking and g*n violence along Aurora Avenue North. We as residents SO appreciate your encouragement and support.

This was a high point in our struggle to bring justice to this area; but it cannot be THE high point.

We continue to experience a lack of communication with the mayor’s office, as was evident by their absence. The day prior to the march (Friday) was their self-imposed deadline for reaching a decision about the dates of 97th, 98th, and 102nd Streets’ p*mp and traffic access. As of yet, we have still heard nothing on the matter.

This coming Tuesday morning at 9:30am is the next City Council Committee for Public Safety meeting, beginning with an in-person or dial-in public comment session.
