Association of Zambians in Seattle, Washington Connecting Zambians in the Puget Sound region! We work together to fight hunger, poverty, and other challenges.

AZISWA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting our community in Seattle and also driving development projects back home in Zambia. The Association of Zambians in Seattle, Washington (AZISWA) is a fully-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in accordance with the US Federal non-profit corporation code. AZISWA was founded on January 22, 2006 in Seattle by Zambians living in the P

uget Sound Region of Washington. Our founding principles are aimed at supporting communities at the grassroots level in the fight against such everyday challenges as hunger, homelessness, health, education and poverty through coordinating activities within the local Zambian Community. We also hold fundraising efforts and collaborate with other organizations to support development projects in Zambia. AZISWA operates within the framework of its Constitution as well as State and Federal Laws. AZISWA Membership is open to all area residents interested in the well being and development of Zambia as well as the welfare of Zambians in the Puget Sound Region.

Today is World AIDS Day. The theme is a call to action: Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.
Disruptions are a threat to human rights.
The Association of Zambians in Seattle, Washington demands that the AIDS response be protected and transformed to eliminate stigma and secure equitable access to prevention and treatment for every person, everywhere.

AZISWA Has a Team in Place for You!!

AZISWA is proud to inform you that we are one of close to 20 Case Management Partners in partnership with, and trained by, HealthierHere to improve your health outcomes and address health disparities through resourcing Case Management Partners to serve community members who have Health Related Social Needs (HRSNs) by providing community members care coordination and resource navigation support.

HRSNs are defined as the social and economic factors that impact an individual’s ability to maintain their health and well-being. These needs include:
1. Housing Instability and Quality
2. Food Insecurity
3. Employment
4. Personal Safety
5. Transportation, and
6. Affordable Utilities.

If you’re in need of any of these, please do not hesitate to reach out to the AZISWA Team.
