Have plans this Friday? Is so, CANCEL THEM! Come hear us sing as we celebrate Swedish National Day at The Swedish Club. Ticket includes a dinner buffet featuring herring prepared three ways, salmon, and, of course, Swedish Meatballs! You will also hear us sing some of the classic National Day songs, as well as a sample of our set that will be performed during the AUSS National Convention later this month in Minnesota!

Bar opens at 5:00pm, dinner buffet opens at 6:00pm - we hope to see you there!

It's paperclip day! Did you know that during the Second World War (when Norway was occupied) Norwegians wore paperclips in their lapels to denote solidarity and unity? "Vi holder sammen" = we are bound together.

Today is WA GiveBIG 2026! Please help us to reach our fundraising goal! Happy Tuesday from the Swedish Singers of Seattle! We have big plans coming up in the near future and into next year!

This June, we will be heading to Minnesota to perform at the American Union of Swedish Singers National Convention - this mass Swedish choral festival occurs once every three years at a different location in the US - and has been happening for over 100 years!

To continue participating in these events, we need your help! We are excited to be a part of GIVEBIG2026, hosted by WAGives - allowing our patrons to contribute toward the ongoing success of non-profit organizations, including ourselves.

With your donation, you will allow us to continue providing Seattle with the rich history of Scandinavian music, while also shaping the pathway for the next generation to learn music. Your contributions will allow us to continue rehearsing on a weekly basis, continue performing around Seattle, and maybe even commission new music!

In Denmark, we have a unique service known as “Sociolancen” or - Social Ambulance.
It is a specialized ambulance that doesn't just focus on medical or physical emergencies; instead, it prioritizes the social and psychological aspects of a situation.
As a general rule, the Social Ambulance does not use lights and sirens. The goal is to create a sense of calm, take the necessary time with the individual, and find the right social solution rather than just 'clearing the streets.
